Objective

The working group "security" concerns itself with all questions about the safety of the (IT) infrastructure of the German Internet inustry. The topics range from the human and organisational security for the protection of IT systems (servers, networks), the safety of mobile communication technology (PDAs, cell phones, WLANs) to issues of safety management and employee awareness.

Objectives of the working group are:

• Development of position papers
• Gaining perspective of the members of the central issues of (IT) security
• Combined events between groups and organisers, owing to Interdisciplinary issues
• Networking of the working group activities with other organisations and initiatives of (IT) security
